TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Last updated: 22 July 2026
1. About us
This website is operated by Casa Aromea Ltd, trading as Casa Aroméa.
Casa Aromea Ltd is a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 17248813.
Registered office: 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.
Throughout these Terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Casa Aromea Ltd. “You” and “your” refer to the customer using our website or purchasing our products.
These Terms apply when you use our website or place an order with us. Our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Return and Refund Policy also apply.
2. Our products
We take reasonable care to ensure that our product descriptions, photographs, fragrance notes, sizes, burn times and prices are accurate.
Our candles are prepared and hand-poured in small batches. Minor variations in colour, finish or appearance may therefore occur. Product colours may also appear slightly different depending on your screen and device settings.
Any minor variation will not affect the product’s quality, safety or conformity with its description.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
3. Placing an order
When you place an order through our website, you are offering to purchase the products shown in your basket.
Please review your order, delivery address and contact information carefully before submitting payment.
A contract between you and Casa Aromea Ltd is formed when we send you an order-confirmation email after your payment has been authorised.
We may decline an order before accepting it where, for example:
-
A product is unavailable.
-
Payment cannot be authorised.
-
The delivery address is outside our delivery area.
-
We reasonably suspect fraudulent activity.
-
There is an obvious error in the product description or price.
If payment has been taken but we cannot accept or fulfil your order, we will contact you and issue a full refund.
4. Pre-orders
Products described as pre-order are paid for when the order is placed.
For the current pre-order period, orders will begin dispatching from 1 September 2026. Once dispatched, delivery normally takes 3–5 business days.
The pre-order dispatch information is displayed on the relevant product pages and during checkout. By placing a pre-order, you agree to this later dispatch timetable.
If a significant delay occurs, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible. You may cancel the affected order and receive a full refund if you do not wish to wait.
Placing a pre-order does not remove or reduce your statutory cancellation and refund rights.
5. Prices and payment
All prices are displayed in pounds sterling.
Casa Aromea Ltd is not currently registered for VAT, and VAT is therefore not separately charged.
Delivery charges are shown during checkout before you submit payment.
Payment is taken when the order is placed. We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout.
We will not increase the price of an order after it has been accepted without your agreement.
6. Delivery
We currently deliver only to addresses within the United Kingdom.
Available delivery services, charges and estimated times are displayed during checkout and explained in our Shipping Policy.
Unless a different timeframe has been expressly agreed with you, goods will be delivered within the period required by applicable consumer law.
The products remain our responsibility until they are physically received by you or by another person you have nominated to receive them.
Please ensure that the delivery address supplied at checkout is complete and accurate. Contact us as soon as possible if you notice an error.
If circumstances outside our reasonable control cause a delay, we will contact you and take reasonable steps to minimise the effect of the delay. If the delay is substantial, you may contact us to cancel the affected order and receive a refund.
7. Your right to cancel
For most products purchased online, you may cancel your order without giving a reason.
You may cancel from the date the contract is formed until the end of 14 days after the day on which you receive the goods.
To cancel, you must send us a clear statement explaining that you wish to cancel. You may contact us by email at enquiries@casa-aromea.co.uk or use the model cancellation form at the end of these Terms.
You do not have to use the model cancellation form.
After notifying us that you wish to cancel, you must normally return the products within a further 14 days.
Our registered office is not automatically our returns address. Please contact us before returning anything so that we can provide the correct return instructions.
8. Returns and refunds following cancellation
Unless the products are faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning them.
Products must be returned securely packaged. You are responsible for taking reasonable care of them while they are in your possession.
We may reduce the refund if the products have lost value because they were handled beyond what would reasonably be permitted when examining goods in a shop.
Following a valid cancellation, we will refund:
-
The price paid for the returned products.
-
The cost of our least expensive standard delivery option offered when the order was placed.
We are not required to refund the additional cost of an enhanced or more expensive delivery service selected by you.
We may withhold the refund until we have received the products back or you provide evidence that they have been returned, whichever occurs first.
The refund will be issued without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receiving the returned products or evidence that they were sent back, whichever occurs first.
Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase unless expressly agreed otherwise.
Further information is provided in our Return and Refund Policy.
9. Faulty, damaged or incorrect products
Products supplied by us must:
-
Be of satisfactory quality.
-
Be fit for their intended purpose.
-
Match their description.
Please contact us promptly if a product arrives faulty, damaged, incomplete, incorrect or not as described. We may ask you to provide photographs so that we can investigate the issue.
Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to a refund, repair, replacement or price reduction under applicable consumer law.
Where products are faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described, we will cover reasonable return costs where a return is required.
Nothing in these Terms restricts your statutory consumer rights.
10. Candle use and safety
Every candle is supplied with safety and care information.
You are responsible for following the instructions provided, including instructions relating to:
-
Wick trimming.
-
Maximum burn time.
-
Placement on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
-
Keeping the candle away from draughts and flammable materials.
-
Keeping the candle away from children and pets.
-
Never leaving a burning candle unattended.
Failure to follow the supplied safety instructions may increase the risk of fire, injury or property damage.
Nothing in this section excludes or restricts liability where doing so would be unlawful.
11. Intellectual property
The Casa Aroméa name, logo, label designs, product photography, written descriptions, graphics and other original website content belong to Casa Aromea Ltd or are used with permission.
You may access and use the website for personal, non-commercial shopping purposes.
You must not reproduce, distribute, modify, publish, sell or commercially exploit our content without our prior written permission.
You must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious software or use the website for any unlawful purpose.
12. Our responsibility to you
If we breach our contract with you or act negligently, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a reasonably foreseeable result of that breach or negligence.
Loss or damage is reasonably foreseeable if it was obvious that it might happen or if, when the contract was formed, both you and we knew that it might happen.
We are not responsible for loss or damage that:
- was not caused by our breach of contract or negligence;
- was not reasonably foreseeable; or
- results from misuse of a product or failure to follow the safety and care instructions supplied with it, except to the extent that the loss or damage was also caused by our negligence, breach of contract or a defect in the product.
Our products are supplied for personal and domestic use. We are not responsible for business losses, including loss of profit, revenue, business opportunity or business interruption, arising from products purchased for personal or domestic use.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts our liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- breach of your statutory rights relating to the quality, fitness for purpose or description of the products;
- damage caused by a defective product where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted; or
- any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
13. Personal information
We collect and process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Shopify and our payment, delivery and technology providers may process information where necessary to operate the website, process payments, prevent fraud and fulfil orders.
Please read our Privacy Policy for further information about how personal information is used and protected.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to our business, website, products or legal obligations.
The Terms applying to an order will be the version displayed on our website when that order was placed.
Changes made after an order has been accepted will not retrospectively alter that contract unless required by law or agreed with you.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
16. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and any contract between you and Casa Aromea Ltd are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you retain any mandatory consumer protections available under the law where you live.
You may bring legal proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom in which you live.
