Candle Care & Safety

A little care will help you enjoy your Casa Aroméa candle safely and keep it burning beautifully.

Before lighting

• Place the candle upright on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
• Keep it away from draughts, direct heat and anything that could catch fire.
• Keep the candle away from children and pets.
• Trim the wick before each use, following the length stated on the candle label.
• Keep the wax pool clear of matches, wick trimmings and other debris.

While burning

• Never leave a burning candle unattended.
• Do not move or touch the candle while it is burning or while the wax is still liquid. The vessel may become hot.
• Do not burn the candle for longer than the maximum time stated on its label.
• If the flame becomes unusually large or the candle begins to smoke heavily, extinguish it and allow it to cool before trimming the wick and relighting.
• Stop using the candle if the vessel becomes cracked, chipped or damaged.

Extinguishing your candle

• Use a candle snuffer where possible.
• Never use water to extinguish the flame.
• Allow the candle and vessel to cool completely before touching, moving or relighting them.

Near the end

• Stop burning the candle when approximately 1 cm of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel.
• Always follow the safety information supplied with your candle.
